What does hentai mean?

The term hentai comes from the Japanese language and originally meant “perversion” or “deviation from the norm”. Over time, its meaning has shifted and it is now associated with erotic and pornographic content in the style of anime and manga.

Hentai includes not only animation, but also comics, illustrations, and sometimes even video games with explicit storylines.
